Firefox comes to a phone near you…

Ah yes, you read correctly, Firefox is going mobile and landing on Nokia’s new N900.  How do we stuff Firefox and all of its glory into a mobile computer? Carefully.

Built on the most modern and advanced browser engine available, Firefox comes complete with all the bells and whistles we trust and love, including the Awesome Bar, tabbed browsing, Weave, Location-Aware browsing and more. In fact, Firefox is the first browser to offer add-ons for mobile, letting folks customize their Firefox anytime, anywhere.  Take a look at the first screen shots of Firefox revealed at Nokia World.

One of my favorite things about Firefox for my mobile is that it gets out of the way. Once I find what I am looking for, the Awesome Bar and browser controls are stowed away so I can see what I actually want to see — the entire Web page. Needless to say, I’m also in love with the Awesome Bar. I search the Web and Tweet right from it,  and it instantly gives me suggestions based on my browsing history, tags and bookmarks. Ok, I digress! Stay tuned for more mobile blabberings.
