Nokia’s maemo-based N900 is turning heads. This “gorgeous phone” as described by DVICE is starting to make Nokia’s own N97 “look silly,” according to Gizmodo. Despite the excellent reviews, it’s important to keep in mind what’s becoming apparent: this is just the beginning of maemo-based smart phones from Nokia. It’s clear that this “niche” N900 is not designed to be thrown into the “mainstream smartphone” category, but it still has seemed to inch up closer than intended. In fact, it’s flirting somewhere in between a high-end smartphone and a low-end netbook with cellular connectivity. Hmm..
